LONDON, 16th July 2021 - Lockton Re, the global reinsurance business of the world’s largest privately held independent insurance broker, is pleased to announce that Eran Charit will be joining its Specialty Division later this year.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Upton, Head of the Speciality Division, Lockton Re, said, “I’m very pleased that we will be welcoming Eran to our Specialty division. We continue to attract a very high calibre of expertise to the team and there is real enthusiasm for our challenger proposition from both clients and markets. The addition of Eran to our expanding Political Risk and Credit offering takes us to seven highly regarded Political Risk and Credit professionals. The market lacks choice and is looking for a genuine alternative reinsurance broking capability to challenge the status quo. We are excited to provide that through a unique combination of a deep technical understanding of political risk and credit exposures, reinsurance expertise and the support of our powerful structuring and modelling capabilities”.

Eran has been in the Political Risk and Credit Insurance broking space for over 10 years, most recently as Head of Structured & Capital Solutions at Aon. Previous to that he started his broking career at Gallagher’s.

Keith Harrison, CEO International, Lockton Re concludes, “Our Specialty division has seen great growth over the last 18 months across multiple classes of business but there is a real need  to provide a differentiated approach and solve for the lack of choice in reinsurance advice and broking in the ever important and complex political risk and credit class. With the addition of Eran and other recent hires, our offering at Lockton Re provides buyers with a respected alternative and a new perspective.  We look forward to welcoming Eran to Lockton Re later this year”.
